February 28th

We had a family get together today to celebrate birthdays and Granddaddy and Jelly’s 56th wedding anniversary. We brought the scrapbook we all made for their 50th anniversary. All of us really liked looking at the album filled with pictures from when everyone was younger. It was nice to have almost everyone together in the same place. We were only missing Jarrod. We almost got all 15 of us in one house. Maybe next time. Continue reading

I went to the Windycrest today with Jelly to take some pictures. Well, she went because she needed to pick some stuff up and I invited myself to tag along. I don’t think she minded the company too much. When I come to Tulsa I try to spend as much time with family as possible. Everyone in my family is awesome but my grandparents are the coolest of everyone. Continue reading

I finally made it to Tulsa today, after sleeping in again. Apparently I was a lot more exhausted than I originally thought. I stopped by Erin’s school and took a couple portraits of her sitting in her reading and calendar corner. She’s the best first grade teacher I have ever met. Continue reading

I did take slightly more interesting pictures today after my ceramics class but I was using my film camera. Sadly, I can’t share them with the world just yet. Continue reading

Today, I had the honor of meeting my friend Jill’s grandfather who served in World War II. He displayed a lot of artifacts he had from the war ranging from his personal journal and letters to home to some Nazi artifacts. They displayed everything at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman and he talked for a little while. He told stories about the things he had seen and what he had done. He will be 95 next month and he still remembered a lot of stories with a lot of detail. Continue reading
