It’s a nice sunny day in Norman again. I wish that meant Winter was over and Spring was starting but it is Oklahoma so it’s just a weather tease. It’s a great day to sit by an open window and snuggle up with a book and a bunch of pillows. I started reading Mansfield Park when I was in France. I’m not usually much of a reader but when you are craving English and don’t have easy access to internet and television you have more time for reading. Imagine that! Well, when it was time to pack up and come back to Oklahoma I hadn’t finish the book because I started reading another book for a class and kinda pushed it aside.
When I packed my suitcase to come home it weighed roughly 80 pounds. I didn’t actually weigh it but that could definitely be an accurate estimate. There was no way I could lug that on and off trains for my travel back to Paris. My journey to Paris that day is a long intense story, I’ll spare you the details this time. Well, it was hard enough to just drag my suitcase on it’s wheels let alone lift it just an inch off the ground so before heading to the train station I frantically got rid of a lot of stuff. I had to get rid of my favorite pair of white Chuck Taylors and my copy of Mansfield Park among many other things. It was a sad day already but leaving other things behind that I thought I would be able to keep made it harder.
I’m finally getting around to reading the second half of Mansfield Park. It’s probably been eight or nine months since I left it. I’ll probably need to back track a bit to get back up to speed. So, excuse me while I take a technology hiatus and enjoy a good ‘ol real paper book.

The suitcase had to have been at least 100 pounds!
haha you felt it after I took all that stuff out.
